Telecoms in UK:
The UK has one of the most liberal telecoms markets in the world, which is regulated by the Office of Communications (Ofcom). There are hundreds of different types of telephone numbers available in UK - and amongst these are "Special Services Numbers". Numbers beginning with 0844 are for calls up to 5 pence per minute and numbers beginning with 0871 are for calls between 5 and 10 pence per minute. Yim Siam Telecom has been assigned many different number ranges by Ofcom, via which we provide our fixed-price calling service between UK and Thailand - plus our HotDial and our Mobile HotDial numbers too.

We were one of the first alternative low-cost international calling service providers to use 0844 and 0871 direct dial numbers to provide 'fixed price calling to Thailand'.

Yim Siam: so EASY to use!
No subscription fee, no pre-payment, no contract to sign - and you don't receive a bill from us either. To start using the service, you just dial one of our access numbers for the destination you require – 0844 474 5555 (5p/min) for Thai mobiles and landlines plus over 80 other destinations worldwide – 0871 669 1010 (10 p/min) for any other countries you wish to call above 5 p/min - see the web page "Other Destinations". All you pay for is the cost of calling the Yim Siam access number and we absorb the cost of the international call to Thailand (or other country). Your normal telephone provider will charge you for calling our access number, the charges for which will appear on your normal phone bill. You will not receive any bills from us.

For example: if you use your normal BT or Virgin Media line to make a 5 minute call to a Thai mobile via our 5 p/min access number 0844 474 5555, you will only be charged 25 pence on your next bill from BT or Virgin Media. On your bill, you will see a call to our 0844 474 5555 number, with a duration of 5 minutes and a total charge of 5 min x 5p = 25p. So, with a simple (and very low) price of 5 pence per minute you will know exactly what each call is going to cost - and not get any unpleasant surprises on your phone bills. The prices quoted to call any of Yim Siam's access numbers are all inclusive of VAT. There are no further subscription or connection charges for making international calls through Yim Siam.

For UK-based Businesses: For businesses in UK that call particular numbers in Thailand regularly, Yim Siam offers the benefit of 'Hot Dial' numbers which can enhance your business and improve your profile by having your very own 0871 UK numbers. For Personal users in UK and Thailand: For Personal users in UK and Thailand: Yim Siam offers special Safe-Call numbers (telephone numbers beginning with 070) which enables those selling items through the media or advertising on the Internet, to keep their private contact details hidden from other people. We replace the advertiser’s phone number with our own Safe-Call number, which when dialed, forwards the call to your own private phone number. Safe-Call numbers can be used to divert calls to you wherever you are - to Thailand or any other country. It costs the caller a little more to call your Yim Siam personal number than it does to call a UK mobile phone - and this is to cover our costs of redirecting the call to your number.
